But God is still inviting us.

You’re Invited Ministries - Linda and Sue

At You’re Invited Ministries (formerly known as The Sublime Soiree), we want women to know they are invited by God, secure in belonging to Him, and able to experience joy even in the middle of real life. This is not shallow or frivolous celebration.

It is the deep recognition that journeying with God is extravagant—a life anchored in biblical truth, honest about reality, and steady in hope.

We are Linda and Sue—friends, co-founders, and fellow travelers who care deeply about helping women live this life securely, hopefully, and invitationally in every circumstance.

And truly, we’re so glad you’re here.

Our Heart & Mission

We believe the main concern of the women we reach can be summed up this way: I want to know how to live this life securely, hopefully, and invitationally in every circumstance. That desire is close to our own hearts, too.

Through our own stories of faith, grief, growth, and surrender, we have learned that God does not wait for our circumstances to improve before inviting us into deeper relationship with Him. He meets us right where we are—with truth, hope, security, and joy that does not depend on everything around us being easy. That is why You’re Invited Ministries exists.

We help women understand God’s invitations, find security in belonging to Him, and experience a joy that moves us to share Him with others. We want to help women know they are invited by God, know the glory of saying yes to Him, and invite others to know Him too.

Here, we want women to:

Be grounded in biblical truth
Find hope and security in God’s invitations
Experience joy without denying reality
Engage in thoughtful, faith-filled conversation
Invite others into His glorious story

Through conversations, writing, speaking, and shared wisdom, we create a welcoming place for women who want to grow in their relationship with God and become more invitational in the way they live, love, and open their lives to others. We want women to feel seen, known, welcomed, refreshed rather than overwhelmed, and included rather than evaluated.

Meet the Women Behind You’re Invited Ministries

This ministry grew from friendship, shared conviction, and a desire to encourage women to know God more deeply and live with greater hope, joy, and purpose.

We are Linda and Sue, friends who are passionate about encouraging women to live steady, joy-filled lives rooted in Scripture—no matter the season. Having each walked through both joy and sorrow, drifting and surrender, we know the beauty of choosing Jesus daily and encouraging one another along the way.

Linda Maynard

Co-Founder & Co-Host

A woman deeply shaped by faith, family, loss, and hope, Linda’s greatest joy is sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Linda Maynard is a grateful follower of Jesus Christ, shaped by faith, family, loss, and enduring hope. Her daily rhythms flow from continual engagement with the Lord in prayer and Scripture, and her relationship with Him means everything to her.

She is the devoted wife (for 35 years and counting) to Dave and the grateful mama to Hannah—and to Noah, whom she holds in her heart after his sudden passing in 2021. While grief is part of her story, hope defines it, anchored in the promise of reunion at God’s table.

Linda has served on mission in Mozambique and mentored students for years. With a background in local and global outreach ministry, public relations and fundraising, and a lifelong love of writing, her greatest joy is sharing the hope found in Jesus.

Sue Lindsey

Co-Founder & Co-Host

A connector at heart who loves gathering people, listening well, and gently pointing them toward Jesus in everyday moments.

Sue Lindsey and her husband, Doug, recently celebrated 30 years of marriage and are joyfully embracing life as empty nesters with their blended family of four grown children and cherished grandchildren. Sue and her family also understand the heartache of loss as they have walked together through the death of Doug’s adult son.

Sue delights in simple joys—good coffee, dark chocolate, meaningful conversation, and time outdoors—but her deepest calling is walking alongside women as they grow in faith. She believes spiritual growth happens best on level ground, as women journey together toward higher ground.

Through church ministry—including high school ministry, mission trips, small groups, moms’ ministry, and neighborhood Bible studies—Sue draws on her experience in leadership, sales, and event planning to serve and support others. Sue seeks to encourage women to live fully as God designed them, rooted in purpose and anchored in Christ.
