of The Sublime Soiree
Hi! I’m Sue, and I am passionate about knowing Jesus and helping others experience a genuine relationship with Him in everyday life.
My relationship with Jesus began in childhood, but it became deeply personal through seasons of struggle, loss, and restoration. In those difficult moments, I experienced God’s grace in a profound way. He faithfully pursued me, restored me, and gave me a renewed sense of purpose. Because of His faithfulness, I have a heart for creating welcoming spaces where people feel safe to be authentic and encounter the same grace that transformed my life—whether gathered around a table, walking together, or sharing meaningful conversation over coffee and dark chocolate.
My husband, Doug, and I recently celebrated 30 years of marriage. Together we’ve been blessed with a blended family of five adult children, a growing number of grandchildren, and the joy of this new season as empty nesters.
Alongside the privilege of being a wife and mom, I’ve enjoyed careers in sales, recruiting, and event planning. For more than two decades, I’ve mentored students and women, led small groups, and created environments where people can grow in faith, community, and purpose. I spent over ten years in the Chicago area placing sales professionals with Fortune 500 companies, but whether in business or ministry, my greatest passion has always been pointing people to Jesus and the greater purpose He has for their lives.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving through my local church in high school ministry, moms’ ministry, small groups, neighborhood Bible studies, and mission trips. I love studying God’s Word and helping others discover the hope, truth, and freedom found in Christ.
My heart’s desire is to someday hear “Well done, My good and faithful servant,” from my dear Savior, Jesus That’s why I boldly teach, lead, and disciple women to know Jesus more intimately, walk in truth, and live with purpose.
– The Day I Accepted God’s Invitation –
My journey with Jesus began as a child while watching a Billy Graham Crusade with my dad. I remember asking why people were walking forward, and he explained the gospel in simple terms—that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. That evening, I prayed with my dad and accepted God’s invitation to trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
As I entered my high school and college years, I drifted from the Lord and made choices that led me away from Him. Looking back, I can clearly see that God never stopped pursuing me. His love remained steadfast, gently drawing my heart back to Him.
Later, during a season of brokenness and deep need, I fully surrendered my life to Christ once again. That became a defining turning point as God began restoring my heart, renewing my faith, and redirecting my life through His incredible grace.
Today, my faith is rooted in a daily relationship with Jesus. I desire to know Him more intimately, walk in His truth, and depend on Him in every season of life. I am forever grateful that my sins are forgiven, that I have new life in Christ, and that He has faithfully held onto me through every chapter of my story.
